greetings all
the sgt pepper run was amazing
you can read more about it on the message board
i'm still reeling from the greatness of it all
we've nailed down las vegas
and los angeles
we're adding a western tour to ping pong with our eastern tour
i can't believe how fast things are growing
it's time to expand the musician pool
i'm always very wary in doing this
so many players get in touch without ever having seen a show
sometimes i give them a chance
but if they don't have the chops
they're exposed quickly
and not asked back
it's a bit harsh
but we don't have the time to nurture anyone
we are the best
and we only work with our peers
it's boasting
but it's true
we're getting spammed a ton on the message board
it's because we're over two and a half million hits a year
our stats on the web site are through the roof
i get lots of offers to add banners and pop ups
but no way is anyone going to commercialize our community
yours truly is singing the springsteen record this month
for those that are close
you know that this is my all time favourite album
i'm hitting it like i've never sung before
except for the very end notes in jungleland
i just don't have the range
my brother in arms - nicky - is covering those lines for me
but i feel like it's my duty to hit them
i miss danny on those lines
he sung the record first time around
but the lyrics speak to me in a way that no other album has
'she's the one' especially comes to mind
i mean check this out:

when i was writing songs i dreamed of a writing a line like that
we're performing the album in springsteen country
the band is playing like a steamroller on high octane fuel
again this album finds me at a time in my life when i needed it most
thanks to all for all the emails
i've been getting a steady stream of suggestions
accolades
critiques
and well wishes
i'm still truly moved and humbled by how much
the series means to so many people
it's going to be a great summer
