greetings all
it's been a solid three years
and i am reeling from the body of work that we have created
some of the albums get performed and then
the performance disappears forever
i have come to realize that even though we are a heavily historical group
we are also living very much in the moment
what some people don't realize is the sense of family that we have
there have been a series of strong bonds and friendships that will last a lifetime
i wish i had more time to celebrate them
for now let me tell those close to me
that i have love and respect in my heart for them
and their faith in the series is what drives me
next to our families
music is the most real and concrete thing in our lives
music is blood
our devotion to the performances is unsurpassed
the look of joy on the crowds faces when we bring a moment to life
is pure and without comparison
the musicians know this
my one wish for the series is that the original artists find us
and hear the passion and belief that we lend to their work
i would love to get a message from paul mcCartney or roger waters or robert plant
and have them acknowledge what we're doing
unhampered by pale imitation we are one of the only true credible sources of classic rock next to themselves
wow
that was quite a statement
but i believe it
and i believe that we are just beginning to find our place in the world
music will open all of the doors
we have the worlds best musicians
performing the worlds greatest music
think about that
pink floyd outsells bach
more people listen to the beatles than mozart
i think that's why so many people come to the shows
they bring their families and pass the music on

i go to my sons daycare
all of the kids are under 3
they listen to some nice kids music
but when i drop some zeppelin into the boom box
they go wild
and start jumping about and air drumming
so do i
i always have
one day i will be old and molded into a comfy chair
but i will never forget the intro drum roll to stairway to heaven
so
as we enter our fourth year
i thank everyone that has been on the stage and in the crowd and behind the scenes
we are making the world a better place
one album at a time
