I love Alex. She's been with us from the very beginning. She's a very special person. Perfectly balanced with grace, skill and beauty. Sometimes during sound check she'll play her cello and it stops me dead in my tracks and relaxes me.

When she did the Radiohead show, I remember thinking that if I ever get back to songwriting, I'm going to put cello on everything.

She's the first call cellist here in Toronto. She's done more roadwork than the most hardened rock vet. During the Wall and Abbey Road shows, you can see her singing back ups and shaking an assortment of different percussion instruments. Some string players can be a bit snooty. Not Alex. Whatever needs to be done, she's there for the band and the show. Including scotch at the bar after the show.
